{Echo} Week 27 - Branches

The image above was taken by me at the North Carolina Museum of Art of the sculpture by Roxy Paine, Askew. You can see and learn more about it by heading over here.

“Every man has a different idea of what's beautiful, and it's best to take the gesture, the shadow of the branch, and let the mind create the tree” - William Faulkner

Picking branches for the new prompt wasn't really a stretch for me. I literally have taken thousands upon thousands upon thousands of photos of them over the years. They speak to me, reach out to me and I often imagine each branch with its own unique personality.

I love how nature does that ... whispers a life all its own into your ear. Can you hear it too?

“Instinct must be thwarted just as one prunes the branches of a tree so that it will grow better.” - Henri Matisse
